Hello, and thank you for accepting this interview with lesrencarts.com.
Thank you for the opportunity! It’s a pleasure to talk about this exciting initiative.
Can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers?
My name is Lamfu-Marie Claire. I serve as the Marketing and Social Media Manager for Choral Clash, where I lead digital engagement, publicity, and community outreach.
What is Choral Clash and where did the idea come from?
Choral Clash is a music reality TV competition that celebrates choral music in Cameroon and beyond. It was created by someone with deep roots in choir life someone who grew up singing and understands the transformative power of collective voices. The vision was to give choirs a national platform and elevate their status in entertainment.
Why was this event created, and why focus on choral singing?
Choirs are often sidelined in mainstream entertainment, yet they’re rich with talent and culture. This competition aims to give them visibility and honor their contribution to musical excellence. Choral music connects people spiritually, emotionally, and culturally.
How long has the competition existed?
This is our debut season Choral Clash 2025 but the planning and groundwork started much earlier.
What personally draws you to choir music?
What I love most is how choir music brings together diverse voices into perfect harmony. It teaches unity, coordination, and emotional expression. It’s not just about music it’s about community.
What are the criteria to participate?
Any group with at least 10 members can apply. We accept all genres gospel, classical, Afro, folklore, etc. There’s no age limit. Under-16s need parental consent. Registration is via a 2-minute audition video submitted on our website.
What are the goals for this edition?
To spotlight emerging choral talent, create nationwide buzz, and lay a strong foundation for future seasons. We also want to foster partnerships that help choirs grow even after the show ends.
How will the competition be structured?
It starts with online auditions. The top 12 groups will be selected and featured across 10 themed episodes. A mix of public voting and jury input will determine progression, leading up to a grand finale.
What happens to winners after the show?
We plan to ensure ongoing support media exposure, potential collaborations, and growth opportunities. Our goal is long-term impact, not just a one-time prize.
Who is on the judging panel?
Our judges include renowned artists like T Son Evas, Minister Etta, and Merveille Onguenet individuals with both musical expertise and cultural relevance.
Final words
Choral Clash is more than entertainment it’s a cultural celebration. If you love music and believe in the power of unity, this is your moment. We invite choirs across Cameroon and beyond to audition and help us make history.
